Abstract

The Act provides, inter alia, for the establishment of the Undergroundwater Authority as a body corporate (sects. 3-7), declaration of critical areas for purposes of protection and conservation of groundwater (sect. 9), control of well digging in a critical area (sect. 11), control of abstraction in the critical area (sect. 12), regulation of licenses (sects. 13-14), appeal (sect. 15), general directions in matters of policy by Minister (sect. 19), and offences (sect. 20). (20 sections and one Schedule)
