Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the use of plant protection products. The purpose of the Law is to regulate measures for the sustainable use of pesticides to protect plants and plant products against harmful organisms, taking into account the general principles of integrated pest management, good plant protection practice and the precautionary principle. The text – consisting of 28 articles –deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: sphere of application, purpose, definition of terms, transfer of data, general requirements for the use of plant protection products, safety measures for the use of plant protection products, daily register, Plant protection devices, protective clothing, protective equipment, user, duty to give information, limitation of use, transfer of tasks, supervising authorities, sampling, tests measures, sequestration, duties of entitled person and user, penalties, deadline,reference to other legal provisions, authorities, entry into force .
