Abstract

This Act comprises rules for incorporation of Tuvalu Electricity Corporation that is in charge to carry on the general business of supplying electricity either for sale or otherwise. Article 7 describes the powers of incorporation with regard to entering, surveying and taking levels of any land; maintaining works, posts, stay-wires, poles or pillars in the land; cut or removing any tree or vegetation from any land; open or break up any roads; and causing lamp-posts, lamp-irons, brackets or other apparatus to be fixed upon any land. The Act contains 36 Articles designed in 5 Parts as follow: Preliminary (1); Establishment, functions and powers (2); Board, management and employees (3); Financial Provisions (4); Miscellaneous (5).
