Entry into force notes
This Notification enters into force on the day it is published in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Notification sets forth the rules and procedures of and determine the standards for, hygienic and technically appropriate production, processing, conservation, transport, storage and marketing of salt. This Notification includes processed salt and salts of mineral sources intended for human consumption. This Notification does not include salts produced for particular nutritional uses and salts containing reduced sodium potassium. The Notification further covers provisions on additives, contaminants and hygiene.
