The present Regulation comes into force on 1 October 2003.
Abstract

This Regulation establishes a plan of action for the Turkey Farmers of New Brunswick. The Regulation specifies functions and powers of the Board and authorizes it to fix and collect levies and charges. Under section 8, the purposes for which the Board is established include: the promotion, control and regulation within the regulated area of the production and marketing of turkey; the promotion of the consumption and use of turkey; and research activities pertaining to turkey. Under section 9, the mission statement and strategic objectives of the Board are to promote the production and sale of high quality poultry products through an orderly marketing system that is responsive to consumer demand and producer expectations.
