The Fund shall financially assist the development of regions and local authorities and the implementation, through the active participation of the local people, of decentralisation programmes at regional and local authority levels. It shall also carry out other specified funding activities, either at its own initiative or when so requested by a regional council or a local authority council. There is established a Board of Trustees of the Fund and an Executive Committee of the Board for management of the Fund. Full text English
