Abstract

This Order transfers functions which are exercisable by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Secretary of State concerned with sea fishing in Northern Ireland jointly under or by virtue of the following enactments to the Secretary of State: (a) the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967 except sections 4(6C) and (6D), 4AA, 6 and 8; (b) section 5 of the Sea Fisheries Act 1968; (c) section 2 of the Fishery Limits Act 1976; (d) section 30(2) of the Fisheries Act 1981; (e) section 1 of the British Fishing Boats Act 1983. The functions which are exercisable by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Secretary of State concerned with sea fishing in Northern Ireland jointly under or by virtue of section 6 or 8 of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967 are transferred to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
