It aims at achieving economic and social benefits by facilitating, supporting and encouraging trade, investment and other commercial opportunities for Queensland, including between Queensland and foreign countries. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilites of TIQ, entitled to the following functions in several sectors: to facilitate, encourage, promote, identify, attract and develop trade and investment opportunities; to assist, directly or indirectly, entities in relation to trade and investment opportunities; to promote, or participate in or coordinate projects to promote trade and investment opportunities; to obtain, and make available to entities, information relating to existing or future trade and investment opportunities; to conduct research into, and analysis of, trade and investment opportunities, etc. Full text English Website www.legislation.qld.gov.au
