Subject Land & soil Keyword Land-use planning Institution Agricultural land Subdivision of land Geographical area Africa, Eastern Africa, Landlocked Developing Nations, Least Developed Countries Abstract The functions of the Minister under section 25 of the Town and Country Planning Act, in so far as these powers relate to the grant or refusal of permission to subdivide for agricultural purposes agricultural land situated outside areas subject to a development plan or approved development plan are hereby delegated to the National Environmental Council established under the Environmental Protection and Pollution Control Act, 1990 and any liability to pay compensation under the Town and Country Planning Act in respect of anything done by the National Environmental Council in exercise of the functions delegated to it hereunder is hereby transferred to the National Environmental Council.
