Tonga’s intended contributions at the national level are (I) 50% of electricity generation from renewable sources by 2020; (II) 70% of electricity generation from renewable sources by 2030; (III) doubling the 2015 number of marine protected areas by 2030; (IV) sector emission reduction targets; and (V) climate resilience in other sectors.
