The register shall be in the form set out in the First Schedule. The registering officer shall be, in respect of burley tobacco, dark-fired tobacco, sun-cured tobacco, fire-cured tobacco and oriental tobacco grown on customary land, the Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation or its representative. The Regulations also provide for the registration of tenants growing tobacco on private and public land and provide that it shall be a condition of every certificate of registration that the applicant shall only sell the tobacco grown by him or her to the person licensed or authorized to buy tobacco grown on the land in question.
