Abstract

Section 83 of the Tobacco Act empowers the Minister to prescribe, after consultation with the Board, any specific variety of tobacco within any prescribed class of tobacco to be tobacco to which Part XI of the Act shall apply. Of the classes of tobacco specified in the first column of the Schedule, the variety or varieties, as the case may be, specified in the second column of the Schedule, opposite the said specified classes, are prescribed varieties of such classes of tobacco for the purposes of Part XI of the Act.
