Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 36 of the Tobacco Act, require all tobacco produced on customary land within the areas specified in the Schedule to these Regulations to be cured by the method prescribed in the Schedule in respect of such areas. The Minister for the time being responsible for agriculture or any person authorized by him or her may, however, in his or her discretion, exempt any person from this rule. Any person who cures tobacco in contravention of this rule shall be punished as specified.
