Abstract

The present Regulation is made under the Waste Reduction and Prevention Act. Section 3 establishes that no person shall supply a new tire for consumption unless: a) the steward of tires operates or subscribes to a tire stewardship programme; or b) the person operates or subscribes to a tire stewardship programme. The text – consisting of 22 sections – deals with the following aspects: interpretation, designation of material, the stewardship programme, reports and confidentiality, general and transitional provisions.
