Abstract

These Regulations implement the Forests Act 1958 by regulating the environmental aspects of timber harvesting and providing for the licensing of forest operators, establishing a monitoring mechanism to facilitate the suspension or cancellation of forest operators’ licences and related procedures. The Regulation is completed by eight schedules: Application for forest operator's licence; Forest operator's licence; Prescribed covenants terms and conditions of licence; Accumulated indicator points/period of suspension; Notice of Indicator Points Allocated; Notice of suspension of forest operator's licence; Notice of cancellation of forest operator's licence; and Notice of request for review.
