Entry into force notes
The present Law enters into force on 22 May 1999.
Abstract

The purpose of the present Law is the sustainable use of natural resources, as well as securing environment-friendly waste disposal. These aims shall be attained without harming the well-being of the community and special attention shall be paid not to endanger the health of human beings and the environment. The text consists of 32 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Waste management (I); Competent authorities (II); Penalties, data collection, data processing (III); Transitional and final provisions (IV).
