Abstract The purpose of the present Law is the sustainable use of natural resources, as well as securing environment-friendly waste disposal. These aims shall be attained without harming the well-being of the community and special attention shall be paid not to endanger the health of human beings and the environment. The text consists of 32 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Waste management (I); Competent authorities (II); Penalties, data collection, data processing (III); Transitional and final provisions (IV).
