Abstract

These Regulations amend the Threatened or Protected Species Regulations, 2007 by, among other things: amending and inserting definitions regarding hunting, plant cultivation and wildlife products; providing for the issuing of permits for restricted activities; providing for control of harmful animals; inserting new provisions on permits for the hunting of harmful animals; defining prohibited activities in relation with certain protected animal species; and making further provision for the registration of captive breeding operations, commercial exhibition facilities, game farms, nurseries, scientific institutions, sanctuaries and rehabilitation facilities and wildlife traders.
