Abstract

This Act makes the theft of utility services an offence so as to protect the interests of Commonwealth Utilities Corporation and its duly licensed private contractors. “Utility service” includes the provision of electrical, sewer and water services. Penalties are prescribed for offences as defined in this Act. The Act also grants the power to the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation to establish a system of reward for persons who provide information on the theft of utilities services.
