Abstract

This Act prohibits the theft of cattle, i.e. bovine, porcine, caprine and equine species of cattle, carcasses, meat, skin or other parts of such animals. In addition, the possession of unstamped meat, i.e. meat that is not properly marked, and unauthorized possession of cattle are declared to be an offence (sects. 3 and 4) . Remaining provisions of the Act defines powers of enforcement of the police, appeal against measures of enforcement, and compensation in addition to conviction to be paid to the rightful owner of the cattle.
