Chapter II contains the aims of the Law which includes effectively carrying out animal health and development works by the veterinary surgeons and veterinary auxiliaries to abide by and maintain the ethics and discipline. Chapter III establishes the Veterinary Council (Council) and provides for its composition and the tenure of the Council and its members. Chapter IV lays down the duties and powers of the Council. Chapter V and VI provide for registration and the duties and rights of veterinary surgeons, respectively. Chapter VII lays down the procedure for inquiry relating to violation of duty by a veterinary surgeon. Chapter IX allows for appeals to the decision by Disciplinary Committee. Chapter X contains prohibitions and penalties.
