The Regulations concern requirements of labelling and packaging, including: common name of the goods with registered trade name; accurate declaration of the net contents of the package; name and identifiable business address of the manufacturer or importer or distributor and the country of origin; accurate description of the major ingredients or components of the goods; expiry date or date mark which gives an indication of the age of the goods. The Regulations provide details concerning the presentation of information to the consumers; the language to be used; the common name; the net content; eventual additional designs and symbols, except for those giving erroneous impression; expiration date, in order to comply with quality, safety and hygienic requirements; warranties and guarantees related to safety, quantity, quality, composition, performance, compensation; instruction for the use.
