Abstract

These Rules amend the Rules for the Protection of Farmer’s Rights and Enhancement of their Benefits (Rules). They amend subrules (b), (c), (h) and (q) of Rule 6 of the Rules relating to functions of Working Body. Further, in Rule 10, subrules (a) & (b) are amended and new subrules (d), (e) and (f) are inserted. Subrules (b), (d) and (e) of Rule 21 are substituted. Rule 22 of the Rules are amended by substituting subrules and renumbering. Rule 23 is substituted by removing the consolidation system and farmers requiring two guarantors to obtain loans. The expression Good Agricultural Practices in Rule 35 and expressions Good Animal Husbandry Practices and Good Aquaculture Practices in Rule 36 are deleted. A New Rule is inserted after Rule 34 relating to appointment of educators for agriculture and livestock breeding.
