The appropriate Government and the local authority are required to establish schools within such areas or neighbourhood limits as may be prescribed. It shall also be their duty to provide infrastructure including school building as per the norms and standards specified in the Schedule. This includes providing safe and adequate drinking water facility to all children, toilets and a kitchen where mid-day meal is cooked in the school. Full text English Website www.indiacode.nic.in
