Abstract

This Act provides for the amendment of various sections of the Planning and Development Act, no. 5 of 2019. The amendments concern: insertion of new definitions, including environmental impact assessment committee; recommendations on the issuance of building permits; inspection; engineering operations; registered professionals. The attached schedules concern a list of expertise required to persons in the Design and Engineering Committee, including: disaster management, public health, coastal engineering; and a list of expertise required to persons in the Environmental Impact Assessment Committee, including: ecology, marine science, disaster risk mitigation and management.
