Abstract This Act, consisting of 72 articles and divided into twelve Parts, provides for establishing the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria and regulating the standard of training and practice of pharmacy in the country. The Act concerns: any drug, poison, medicine or medical consumables, food supplement, including: any substance of vegetable, animal or mineral origin or any preparation used for the diagnosis and treatment of any diseases or symptoms in animals or men, and for control and disinfection of pests, vermin and insects; labelling and packaging of medicines and medical products; good pharmaceutical practice; dangerous drugs and poisons.
