Abstract This Act regulates the employment of contract labour in establishments and contractors where twenty or more workmen are employed. The Act requires that every principal employer of an establishment to which this Act applies shall apply for registration of the establishment and obtain certificate of registration. The Contractors are required to obtain licence to undertake or execute any work through contract labour. The Act empowers the appropriate government to prohibit employment of contract labour in any process, operation or other work in any establishment. Full text English Website www.indiacode.nic.in
