Abstract This Act lays down provisions on the establishment and functions of The Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute; establishment and powers of the Board of the Institute; and the funds and resources of the Institute. The Institute shall provide efficient and effective academic, technical, and continuing education in the fields of agriculture, marine science and fisheries, environmental science and conservation, ornamental landscaping and horticulture, agribusiness and management, innovation and technology, aquaculture, forestry, food sciences and technology, machines and mechanization, food and nutrition, enterprise and entrepreneurship, veterinary technology and livestock production and health, extension services, conservation and use of biodiversity and related traditional knowledge, and game bird and game animal management and improvement and related economics.
