The functions and duties of the Board include promotion of the pulses crop and pulses industry. The Board may levy fee on the farmers, dealers, traders, processors, manufacturers, or any such person for the extension or market or export services rendered by the Board. The Act also constitutes a Pulses Development Fund which shall be used to carry out functions and administration of the Board.
