Abstract

This Law provides that, subject to the provisions of this Law, a reference in any enactment to the territorial sea adjacent to Jersey shall be construed in accordance with the provisions of section 1 of the Territorial Sea Act 1987 of the United Kingdom and with any provision made or having effect as if made, under that section. It also amends the Public Health (Vessels and Aircraft) (Jersey) Law 1950 and the Sea Beaches (Removal of Sand and Stone) (Jersey) Law 1963 consequential on the extension of the territorial sea and empowers the States to make Regulations amending any enactment to an extent similar in nature to the amendments made by the Schedule to this Law.
