Abstract: The Act makes provision with respect to the territorial sea (Part I) and establishes an Exclusive Economic Zone of Tonga of 200 nautical miles (Part II). Provisions of Part II also regulate fishing in the EEZ by foreign vessels: Total allowable catch (sects. 10-11); catch quotas (sect. 12); licences (sects. 13-17); offences and legal proceedings (sects. 18-20); regulation making powers of the King (sect. 21), research fishing (sect. 22), enforcement (sects. 23-24), and administrative penalties (
