Protected species are declared to be such by the Temotu Provincial executive pursuant to section 4. The same officer may declare protected places, i.e. habitats or breeding grounds of protected species under section 5. Other provisions of this Ordinance concern disturbance of protected species or habitats, powers of officers, the register of protected species and habitats (sect. 9), and offences. Full text English
