Abstract

This Technical Regulation sets forth mandatory safety requirements for fish products related to processing, handling, storage, transport, trade and disposal, and also for packaging and labelling of fish products in order to ensure free circulation, turnover and trade of fish products on the territory of Eurasian Economic Union. The scope of this Technical Regulation shall be protection of human life, health and environment with a view of prevention of fraudulent practices. It shall be applicable to fish products released on market on the territory of Eurasian Economic Union. It establishes mandatory requirements for classification and identification of fish products. Fish products shall be traded on the territory of member states in case of compliance thereof with this Technical Regulation. Fish products originating from third countries or processed on the territory of member states that is subject to veterinary inspection shall be accompanied by veterinary certificate issued by the competent authority of a member state. Fish products complying with the requirements of this Technical Regulation and that have passed assessment test shall be marked with the unified Eurasian Conformity mark.
