Abstract This Technical Regulation sets forth mandatory safety requirements for products of slaughtering, meat and meat-based products and requirements related to processing, handling, storage, transport, trade and disposal, and also for packaging and labelling of meat and meat-based products in order to ensure free circulation, turnover and trade of meat and meat-based products on the territory of Eurasian Economic Union. It establishes mandatory requirements for classification and identification of the products of slaughtering. Products of slaughtering, meat and meat-based products shall be traded on the territory of member states in case of compliance thereof with this Technical Regulation. Meat and meat-based products originating from third countries or processed on the territory of member states that is subject to veterinary inspection shall be accompanied by veterinary certificate issued by the competent authority of a member state. Products of slaughtering, meat and meat-based products complying with the requirements of this Technical Regulation and that have passed assessment test shall be marked with the unified Eurasian Conformity mark.
