Abstract

This Technical Regulation establishes safety requirements (including sanitary, epidemiological and hygienic), for foodstuffs related to identification/traceability with a view of protection of human life and health and prevention of fraudulent practices. It shall be applicable to foodstuffs destined for athletes, pregnant women and nursing mothers, infant food and foodstuffs destined for dietary uses. Release on market, trade and circulation of specialized foodstuffs shall be authorized in case of its compliance with this Technical Regulation. Use of GMO for manufacturing of foodstuffs for pregnant women and nursing mothers shall be prohibited. Perishable foodstuffs for dietary uses must be packed exclusively in small-size packages destined for one-time consumption. Living microorganisms must be processed in separate premises. In the process of state registration of foodstuffs for special dietary uses must be provided certification of the declared therapeutic and dietary properties.
