The objectives of these Technical Norms are to provide the same criteria for overall use within the country on the monitoring of the implementation of the Prime Minister Decree and the MAF regulation on livestock management in Lao PDR. They apply to every organization, related agencies or individual persons that carry out business in relation to livestock, its products, feed and veterinary drugs in Lao PDR. The Norms are divided as follows: Purpose and Scope for the application of the technical norm (I); Identification and Registration of animals (II); Movement of Livestock, its products, animal feed and veterinary drugs within the country (III); Animal epidemic disease prevention and vaccination (IV); Slaughter of animal and Meat inspection (V); Standard for selection and marking animals to conserve as breeding stocks (VI).
