Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister of Agriculture under section 25 of the Tea Act, prescribe the procedure for the election of nominees by nominating organizations to be appointed to the Tea Board of Kenya and facilitate the process of electing the nominees. They specify criteria for eligibility for the appointment as a member of the Board and require a nominating organization to be duly registered or licensed by the Board. It also requires the Minister to convene a meeting of nominating organizations in accordance with section 3 (1) (e) (i) (ii) (iii) and (iv) of the Act.
