Abstract

These Regulations lay down rules relative to the establishment, operating, and extending of seed garden or tea nursery in tea growing areas. Persons establishing tea cultivation shall register with Tea Board of Kenya or a tea factory. Bringing of planting material into a tea growing area requires approval of the Board or an authorized officer. The Director of agriculture may take appropriate measures to combat diseases affecting tea cultivation. Tea shall be sold to the local tea factory and delivered to specified centers. Tea may be rejected by the factory and in that case be destroyed immediately under the supervision of an authorized officer. (15 regulations)
