The Government may, by notification, by means of a Scheme provide for the registration of members subject to specific conditions and provide for the purpose of ensuring social security and welfare of the fishermen and labourers engaged in fishing and other related activities. The relief or assistance to registered members in respect of the following issues: a) Accident relief for death and injury; b) Missing fisherman while fishing; c) Death while fishing or immediately thereafter not due to accident; d) Natural Death; e) Funeral expenses; f) Education of children; g) Marriage; h) Delivery or miscarriage or termination of pregnancy; i) Old age Pension; as specified in the Schedule.
