In particular, the Regulations lay down provision s relating to the importation of swines. The Regulations apply to all swine, swine semen and market hogs. Moreover, they apply to all named diseases set out in Schedule A. The text – consisting of 9 sections – deals with the following matters: provincial serological survey, enforcement, prohibition, swine import permit, exceptions, market hog import permit, semen import permit, production of import permit by driver, failure to provide permit, powers of provincial veterinarian, quarantine, delivery of quarantine order, confirmation of named disease, responsibility for costs, exemption from costs, destruction of animals, disposal of infected animals, offences and revocation of license.
