Abstract The use of sweeteners in or on foodstuffs is permitted only if the substances are considered to be among those defined as permissible and the use of them are provided for under these Regulations. The use of authorized sweeteners in or on foodstuffs is prohibited on foodstuffs designated for infants, unless specifically provided for in other Regulations on infant foodstuffs.
