The principal objectives of the Authority are: (a) to bring about a reduction in the levels of greenhouse gas emissions and other adverse by-products of the production and use of energy, and (b) to facilitate the development, commercialisation, promotion and use of sustainable energy technology. Principal objectives of the Council are to advise the Minister and the Authority on (a) the development, commercialisation, promotion and use of sustainable energy technology, and (b) the provision of energy development assistance to persons engaged in the development, commercialisation, promotion and use of sustainable energy technology.
