The Board is responsible for the licensing of surveyors and to control their functioning (sect. 5). Part III specifies the criteria which persons shall meet in order to be eligible to become a licensed surveyor (sects. 7 and 8). It also provides for the establishment of a register of licensed surveyors (sect. 9). Part IV sets the standards of conduct for licensed surveyors and specifies certain powers of such surveyors. Part V is concerned with the placing, description and protection of survey marks. Part VI provides for survey plans carried out by licensed surveyors on behalf of the Government. Part VII, inter alia, prohibits persons who are not licensed surveyors, to survey land. Part VIII contains miscellaneous provisions. Full text English
