Abstract

The purposes of this Act are to encourage the development and success of a “local food” sector throughout the Province, and to regulate agricultural products that are produced or processed in the Province and marketed and sold as organic products within the Province. “Local food” means (i) agricultural products produced in Alberta, including forest or freshwater food, and (ii) agricultural products processed in Alberta.
