Abstract

The Decree applies to tuber-seeds potatoes, and potatoes for human consumption , animal feed and industrial processing introduced and placed on the market in the national territory up to September 1997. The Decree establishes all the information required after the introduction of said potatoes in the national territory, regarding the places where the potatoes shall be stored and the varieties and quantity introduced. The Decree provides also for the checks and taking of samples by the regional plant protection services, in charge of the destruction of the tubers affected by the bacterium. The regional service shall forward yearly to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Resources a report on the official checks performed.
