Abstract These Regulations lay down rules for the application procedures for licensing for export or import of sugar, ethanol or any other derivative of sugar cane and permits for their shipment; validity period of import/export license; requirements for a license and a shipment permit; suspension or revocation of license; inspection of licensee’s premises of manufacturing and import or export operations; validity of shipment permit only for the specific import or export transaction specified in the permit; and offences and penalties for the breach to these Regulations. The licence issued for the importation and exportation of sugar or any other derivative of sugar cane shall be in form 1 and 2 of Schedule II.
