Abstract

This Act lays down provisions for the incorporation and powers of Sugar Industry Labour Welfare Committee; exemption from personal liability and income tax for the members of the Committee; offences and penalties, such as making false statement in an application or false declaration to the Committee; and the powers of the Committee to be in addition to and not in derogation of the powers exercisable by the Committee under or by virtue of the Sugar Industry Special Funds Act.
