Strategy for the development of seaport infrastructure of Russia for the period up to 2030. The Strategy shall pursue the following objectives: (a) increasing port capacity and ensuring effective port infrastructure development; (b) secure functioning of port infrastructure and maritime transport; (c) creating conditions for increasing the competitiveness of domestic seaports; and (d) improvement of public administration in the field of seaport harbor facilities. Expected results: (a) increasing the utilization ratio of transshipment complexes; (b) enhancing the role of seaports in ensuring Russia's transit potential, servicing international freight flows of transit, transshipment, international transport corridors "North-South" and "East-West"; (c) enhancing integrated safety of navigation in the seaport waters and approaches to seaports; and (d) enhancing innovation in seaport operations by applying new technologies, carrying out resource saving measures, reducing negative impact on the environment. With a view to the integrated development of seaports, attention will also be paid to the terminals intended for the integrated servicing of fishing fleet vessels, which are an integral part of them. The term "integrated services for fishing fleet vessels" includes a set of operations for servicing vessels in seaport during the period of moorage between ship’s runs, layover between fishing seasons, shelter in case of stormy weather, provision of berths for unloading/loading, storage of fish products, supply of fuel, water, food, containers and other materials to ships, supply of fishing equipment to ships, repair of ships between ship’s runs, other operations to prepare ships for fishing.
