Management of the supply and demand, considering principles of sustainable use and development, land use planning in the catchment areas and cooperation between different social, economic and infrastructure sectors are main objectives of these Strategies. According to the Act, in agricultural activities, reducing consumption while increasing the efficiency is the priority. Management of water consumption and prevention of water loss in urban and rural water supply networks are priority of the existing Act in the domestic sector. In some cases, with respect to technical, sanitary and safety issues, the exchange of water with neighbouring countries is permitted. The Supreme Council for Water is the responsible authority to coordinate policies in the field of supply, distribution and consumption of water. Full text Farsi Website www.dastour.ir
