Abstract In 2010, the Government of Tajikistan launched the Pilot Programme (PPCR) for Climate Resilience to shift from a business as usual to a climate resilience development path by piloting approaches to integrate climate risks in development planning. The Strategic Programme for Climate Resilience (SPCR) summarizes the country driven strategic approach to climate resilience, and defines the underlying investment programme for PPCR support. The SPCR outlines six investment and capacity building activities under PPCR in Tajikistan. The six components are: building capacity for climate resilience; improvement of weather, climate and hydrological service delivery; climate science and modelling programme; enhancing the climate resilience of the energy sector; agriculture and sustainable land management; and building climate resilience in the Pyanj river basin Full text English
