The proprietor of land upon which a building is or is to be constructed may apply to the Registrar, in the manner provided by or under this Law and prescribed under the Registered Land Law (2004 Revision), for the registration of the horizontal or vertical subdivisions (strata lots) in accordance with a strata plan, which shall accompany the application. The Act sets out requirements of a strata plan and provides that Governor in Cabinet may, upon the application of any proprietor, grant permission for the registration of a strata plan upon such conditions as s(he) may seem fit. The proprietors of all the strata lots contained in any strata plan shall, upon registration of the strata plan, become a body corporate. The Act sets out duties and powers of a corporation.
